Carleton Publishing House

Our Story

One man, a small house, and the work itself

Carleton Publishing House is one person, William Vincent Carleton of Killingworth, Connecticut, working with a team of AI teammates.

Our mission

[Mission statement pending, William]

The founder

William Vincent Carleton is the house's vibe producer and curator of intellectual property. Every book, card, and song begins with him, and he decides what the house puts its name to.

In the spirit of seva

The house works in the spirit of seva, loving service. The work is offered, not pushed. There are no countdowns here and no last chances; the books will be here when you want them.

Humble beginnings

Building in the open

We are telling this story as it happens, including the good weeks and the slow ones. Anyone who starts with little might find something useful in it.

Who does the work

Most of the daily service is done by the team: replies, orders, files, and follow-up. The teammates are AI, not people, and we won't pretend otherwise. William reads and approves what goes out under the house's name.

William would love to be there for you an hour before your wedding. He can't always be, and that's why we are: any time, at no extra charge.
